In Week 2 I wrote about experimenting taking photographs through windows and referred to the work of Todd Hido and Tom Wood https://wp.me/p9BvX0-CQ
On the last day of my time in Skye, as it was raining, I tried the technique first through my car windows, and then through a window in the house. It was more difficult than I thought. I decided to use my iPhone as it was easier to handle in a confined space. The amount of raindrops on the windscreen seemed to be a critical factor in the level of abstraction of the final outcome. I preferred more water rather than less, as seeing the landscape in the rain is my experience of the essence of Skye - so it is about revealing the essence through the rain spattered window. I need to do a lot more experimenting when I return to Skye however, I can try this out wherever I am so will keep working at. Here are a few of the images I shot today:

I will need to wait for a northerly wind in order to get more rain on the patio window - see Image 5!
