After my Supervision Meeting just after Easter, I have been gradually edging closer to the Final Draft of my Thesis.  The To Do Lists are generally getting shorter as I tick each item off as complete.  Although, I am still able to come up with additional things that need attention!

Today is the day when the Thesis becomes one document and the Table of Contents, List of Exhibits, Bibliography and Appendices are created or added to the final document.  While there are some style issues and a need to ensure all references to sections and images are correct, it does seem as if I am getting close.  I plan to send the current version to my copy editor this week and then I need to focus on the Handmade Artist’s Book that will showcase some of the best images I have captured during my PhD.  When I get the amendments from the copy editor, I will go through them before submitting the Final Draft to my supervisors in mid-May.

There are lots of decisions to be made and ideas to reflect upon as I start to put together some mock-ups of my images in electronic book form.  I need to write an Introduction, choose the final images for the three sections, confirm the photographic surface I will use and then decide on dimensions and covers.  I am looking forward to being a bit more creative after the challenge of writing, rewriting, and rewriting again.
