A short blog but thrilling news on the development of my Research Project.

Interesting and exciting conversations this week about possible collaboration and a joint exhibition of my work on The Road to Elgol.  An artist based on Skye is interested in collaborating in representing and understanding the heartbeat of the Road.  A collaborative project showcasing combined representation of the Road featuring my photographs alongside an artists contemporary images of the same scene will form the basis for a possible exhibition on the Island in July 2019.

Exploratory discussions are underway about the concept and implementation of such a project with a planned joint recce of the Road and the opportunities available for this joint venture in early April.

Also, through the work of Sophie Gerrard, a photographer based in Scotland I have identified an ongoing documentary project entitled “Document Scotland” which is doing just that.  It will be interesting to reflect on their objectives, motivations and progress.  The image below is from Sophie’s Drawn to the Land project.
