It is early days and this blog represents only my first thoughts on the possible topic for my research project.

I visit the Isle of Skye on a regular basis and am hoping to spend more time on the ”Misty Isle” over the next few years.   On a previous visit I picked up a book entitled “The Road to Elgol” by Donnie Mackay. I was already familiar with the road from Broadford to Elgol – its many beautiful spots, the diversity of the landscape, the wildlife and the many people that travel this route on a regular basis – so decided to start trying to capture images along this winding and narrow track. One of my favourite spots and indeed images is looking across Loch Slappin from Torrin.

The following pictures represent some of the viewing points I will be returning to over the course of this project.
