Our pre-module task caused me to reflect on the decade I had spent photographing wildlife. An article in the RPS Journal about Sam Crimmin, a medical doctor and photographer, who had spent time capturing the majestic Emperor Penguins on Snow Hill Island, Antarctica reminded me of a long-held dream to spend time on Antarctica to photograph these wonderful birds.
For the time being however, I must be satisfied with having seen and captured King Penguins on the Falkland Islands and South Georgia and looking at Sam’s images below:
